Missions/Activités : A post-doctoral position is currently available in the Cellular and Chemical Biology unit (U1143 INSERM ¿ UMR3666 CNRS; http://minilien.curie.fr/89q4ev), in the Endocytic Trafficking and Intracellular Delivery team of Dr. Ludger Johannes, in tight collaboration with the Chemical Biology of Cancer team of Dr. Raphaël Rodriguez. The candidate will test different approaches to conjugate chemical compounds with immunomodulatory properties to STxB. The program will begin with small molecules; upon success, other entities such as nucleic acids will be designed to be grafted to STxB.

Compétences

Niveau d'études souhaité : PhD in synthetic organic chemistry
Expérience : Prior experience in cell biology techniques would be an advantage.
Compétences souhaitées : Strong interest in immunology and biotechnology would be appreciated. Excellent project management and communication skills and a high degree of autonomy are essential.

Contexte : The team of Ludger Johannes exploits a fully synthetic version of the non-toxic poorly immunogenic B-subunit of Shiga toxin (STxB) as a delivery tool for various compounds to dendritic cells for cancer immunotherapy. The team of Raphaël Rodriguez has built a strong expertise on combining synthetic organic chemistry with molecular and cellular biology.

He/she will be part of a collaborative program of the scientific teams with a private venture, which is in charge of developing the technology to the market.
